Keep Me Breathing in Paris
So who says trying to save your child can’t take you to romantic places along the way? Well me actually, because during The Paris Trip, it rained the entire time and I barely saw the city for more than 20 minutes and spent much of the day discussing CCHS drug research or in a laboratory before flying home! But well worth a fantastic day alongside Xenia Proton de la Chapelle and Nathan Beckouche of AtmosR. A French Biotech company aiming to restore autonomous breathing in CCHS patients. Look out for Xenia and Nathan on the Podcast soon!

Me arriving at the Imagine Institute, right next to where the Phox2b gene was first discovered as the primary cause of CCHS in 2003
Xenia herself is a mother of a child with CCHS and has done a tremendous amount for CCHS, through the French CCHS Association and AtmosR. Nathan has worked in drug research and development for over 10 years. We discussed various ideas and progress, as well as visiting the Imagine Institute where research is carried out.

Literally…the work being done…
